Let’s rewind to 2015 It was my niece Tilly’s 3rd birthday, I wanted to make her something special, she was Disney mad and as we have established, I’m crazy about all things paper. I searched online for Disney paper art and came across a quilled Princess Castle,
I just fell in love with it, I had no idea what quilling was or where to start but I ordered my first quilling tool and that really was the start of my quilling journey, TillyViktor was born, named after my niece Tilly Victoria.
My passion is to create bespoke paper art pieces as special to the receiver as the castle I first made for my niece. Every piece that I make is unique, although I may follow a general silhouette or template for my design each piece has its own quirks and personality, making your piece of TillyViktor art a true one-off piece of work.
A little about me
Let me introduce myself, many people call me Tilly Viktor, which is fine, I answer to that! My name is actually Jess, I’m a mom of one, designer and all-round paper obsessed owner of TillyViktor! Print designer by day and paper artist by night, you will regularly find me in my home office, buried in a pile of paper strips of every colour imaginable, refusing to throw away even the tiniest scraps of paper…you know, just in case I need it later on!
I studied Fashion and Textiles at University and qualified as a print designer for fashion. I have worked in the fashion industry for nearly a decade, first in London for a Luxury fashion and Accessories brand, then onto a Luxury Womenswear label. Finally moving back home to the midlands to work at a fabric manufacturer, suppling fabric and selling print designs to many of the favourite UK High Street brands we all recognise.
I have been steadily growing and building TillyViktor as a side hustle in the background of my full-time career.
After some years of exploring and perfecting my craft I launched TillyViktor in October 2018, I haven’t looked back, there hasn’t been any time!
It has literally been a whirlwind, I am so proud of the progress I have made so far, it is all down to customers like you. Thank you so much for your support, you really are making my small business dreams come true!
